Micheal Shannon Has Flippers Instead Of Hands In ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’

In Man Of Steel General Zod was ready to murder a family when Superman took his life by snapping his neck. We all thought that was the last time we would see Zod until rumors started to fly around that Micheal Shannon was returning for Batman V Superman. It was only confirmed that he was indeed involved with the film when the Comic-Con trailer was released and we caught a glimpse of Zod’s body in a body bag.

In a recent interview with Vulture Micheal Shannon not only confirmed his involvement he even added and interest tid-bit about his role. In the interview Shannon said

I was in my costume, and I couldn’t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn’t open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like, ‘Where’s Shannon? Where the f**k is he?’ and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, ‘Let me out of here!

So Zod has flippers in Batman V Superman? Or is he playing a different character entirely? The rumor that has seemed to stick in numerous stories and one our EIC Umberto Gonzalez stands by is that legendary Superman villain Doomsday will be an antagonist in BVS. Apparently Doomsday will be created by Luthor and the Government who will harvest and experiment with Zod’s DNA.

What do guys think is up with Micheal Shannon having to wear flippers in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016!
