‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Targets $50M-Plus Domestic Debut

Paramount's 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' is projected to open in the $50 million-plus range at the domestic box office.

NRG, Hollywood’s leading tracking service, projects Mission: Impossible – Fallout will debut in North America with $50 million while other services predict an opening in the $52 million to $57 million range.

The sixth Mission: Impossible film is expected to take the number one spot at the domestic box office and rave reviews for the film could help it match or exceed the $55.5 million domestic debut of its predecessor.  Overseas, Fallout is set to open its first 36 foreign markets while a release date in China has yet to be announced.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout will open opposite Warner Bros.’ Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, which is projected to open in the $13 million to $15 million range.
