In 2015 we will see Harrison Ford reprise his role as Han Solo on the big screen for the first time in 30 years when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters. Recently we were hit with the surprise that we would see the character more times than expected with a Star Wars Anthology film being centered around a younger Han Solo. Directors Phil Lord and Chris miller will helm the film with Lawrence Kasdan writing.
The only word that we’ve got on the film were of it’s directors and writer, but Entertainment Weekly had an interesting interview with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, who gave them a few tid bits on the film. When asked if the reeboot would confuse audiences and if they will keep peices of Han’s past a secrect Kennedy replied
Kennedy continued to explain how they would stay true to Solo’s character and why they chose Lord and Miller
As soon as the film was announced fan castings ran amok online. Names like Chirs Pratt, Bradley Cooper and the guy that plays the young version of Harrison Fords character in Age Of Adeline, Anthony Ingruber were being thrown around like darts at a wall. Kathleen Kennedy should quiet those fan castings as she states that Solo will be a little younger than expected.
What do you guys think of Han Solo being so young? Which young up and coming actor would you cast or would you prefer an unknown?
The Han Solo focused Star Wars Anthology film will hit theaters May 25th, 2018!
