Earlier this year it was confirmed that actress Rachel McAdams had joined the cast of Doctor Strange and some possible details emerged regarding her role in the film. While the studio is still holding back on revealing her character’s name, which would confirm whether or not she would be playing a Night Nurse in the film, some new details have now emerged regarding Rachel McAdams’ role in the highly-anticipated Marvel Studios release.
Kevin Feige revealed to Entertainment Weekly that McAdams’ character is “a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange and is his sort of lynchpin to his old life, once he steps into he role of a sorcerer. She is someone he connects with at the beginning, and reconnects with, and helps anchor his humanity.”
Executive producer Stephen Broussard additionally added the following about the character’s role in the film and how she will act as the audience’s point of view as we travel into the mystic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Could the actress serve as a romantic interest for the titular character? Benedict Cumberbatch commented on the matter and stated that he is “not sure if I’m allowed to say what the interest is. But if I hit on her more than the Ancient One, put it like that.” Let us know your thoughts on the comments above in the section below.
