One of the biggest and anticipated aspects of Captain America: Civil War is the Marvel Cinematic Universe introduction of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man. We have yet to see what he will look like as both Peter and Spidey, as the trailer that came out very recently didn’t give us a first look at everybody’s favorite web-slinger.
In an interview that Brazilian website Super Interessante did with co-director Anthony Russo at this year’s Comic-Con Experience, he was asked about the rumors about the Spidey suits that have been floating around to which he gave quite an interesting answer:
“Well, we researched a lot and do a lot of experiments for all the characters. We did the same with Spider-Man. We knew it had to be someone young, it was very important because we wanted to give this essence to the character: it is something unique in the Marvel Universe. Tom Holland is an amazing Spider-Man, people will love it.
It was a very experimental process, placing it with other actors, especially with Downey Jr., we were learning as we did and are very happy with the result. But we are still working on some things, like the uniform. He’s not ready because so much will be produced with special effects.”
Russo was also asked whether or not we may see the famous Iron-Spider suit and he teased the following:
“The film will show a mix of what everyone is waiting for and a little twist, so yeah, that’s what I can tell.”
Captain America: Civil War is slated to come out in theaters on May 6, 2016.
