New ‘Legion’ Posters Question Reality

The past week has seen a bump in marketing for the new X-Men show Legion which will debut on FX in February. Multiple new posters for the series have been released highlighting various characters and reality itself.

The images certainly leave you to question which characters could possibly be just aspects of Legion’s mind, as well as if anything is actually real. The show is looking to be a great psychological superhero adaptation and I can’t wait for it to debut.

Legion follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.

Fargo showrunner, director, and writer Noah Hawley is also putting his genius at work as showrunner for the series. I was treated to the first half of the pilot at NYCC, and it truly looks as though this may be the best superhero television series yet.

Legion stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin. The FX series debuts on February 8, 2017.
