One week from today, the second installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise will finally be in theaters as we follow Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his gang on new adventures. One of the new characters we will be meeting in Vol. 2 is Peter Quill’s father, Ego, who will be played by Kurt Russell as he joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Yahoo released today their big movie preview which included a new look of Russell as Ego, together with his son Peter along with Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and another new character that is joining the film, Mantis (Pom Klementieff).

James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Glenn Close as Irani Rael, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Kurt Russell as Ego, along with Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rosenbaum, opens in theaters on Friday, May 5.
