New Music Video Showcases Never Before Seen ‘Suicide Squad’ Footage

Suicide Squad

Those amped up for the DC film universe can get an extra dose from the music video for Twenty One Pilots’ new song “Heathens,” which features new footage from the next installment in the DCEU – David Ayer’s supervillain team-up Suicide Squad. “Heathens” is one of the songs featured on the film’s soundtrack, the tracklist of which was released last week.

Set within the Belle Reve prison where we initially find our Task Force X members, it appears the band was able to record the video on the actual sets as it depicts lead singer Tyler Joseph crooning in a jumpsuit within the jail. While I’m not usually a fan of Twenty One Pilots, I’ll admit this song got me, lending itself well to the inter-spliced footage lends itself well. At least the marketing and music seems to be on point so far.

We’ll see about the rest of the movie when Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5.
