The Kids Aren’t Alright In New Image & Details From ‘The New Mutants’

New Mutants BannerWe’ve seen plenty of teases from 20th Century Fox’s upcoming The New Mutants via their social media accounts as of recent. But while we continue to wait for a new trailer to drop, we’ve got some new details and a new image from the Josh Boone directed film which will potentially launch a horror franchise set in the X-Men film universe.

In their preview of ten upcoming films to see in 2018, USA Today spoke with Boone about his approach when it came to this project and he revealed how it will hopefully differ from previous X-films:

“These kids could care less about being X-Men. They’re so (messed) up and have had such horrible things happen, they’re just trying to figure out how to get out of this situation. We just tried to pull this back and make it performance- and character-driven, and more grounded and credible than X-Men movies ever are.”

Are you excited to check out The New Mutants when it hits theaters next year? Check out a new image from the film featuring Magik, Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Sunspot and Mirage who appear to be in some kind of trouble below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
