New Promo Image Of The Red Ranger From ‘Power Rangers’ Revealed

Following yesterday’s in-depth look at the costumes from the upcoming Power Rangers reboot, it appears a toy box has revealed a new promotional image from the movie. The image features Dacre Montgomery’s Jason Lee Scott decked out in his badass alien power suit. Interestingly, the costume is made black and white in this image. While we do not get a full-body look, we do get to see the fine detail provided to the outfit’s helmet. The film’s director, Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) did reveal the alien origins of the costumes, and the more we see from the movie, the more obvious this becomes. Special thanks to Instagram user Powerrangergeek who provided the internet with this awesome close up of the new costume.

Power Rangers features an incredible cast including Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks and Bill Hader as Alpha 5. The Rangers, however, will be portrayed by Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin, Naomi Scott, Becky G and RJ Cyler.

So, what do you guys make of this? Are you on board with the design of the new costumes? I for one am a big fan of the newly crafted costumes. They feel contemporary, and yet ancient at the same time. From the short glimpse of the suits in motion, I can tell they are going to look fantastic in movement.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

Power Rangers is set to hit theatres everywhere on March 24, 2017.
