Nerds everywhere are frothing at the mouth for the fall’s most anticipated film according to Fandango. And with good reason. The trailers and clips are exciting and fun. There is extremely positive buzz.  And now we have a new clip! This exciting one features what looks like the first encounter between Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Hela (played by Cate Blanchett). And let’s just say, she’s unimpressed by Thor’s hammer.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

As things continue to change for Thor moving forward, it’s only fitting that the world around him starts to expand. Ragnarok is introducing newcomers Hela and Skurge to the Marvel Cinematic Universe family, but there’s always room for more expansion.

Thor has a rich group of supporting characters that have either gone on adventures with him or faced him on the battlefield. Some of Thor’s main companions, like Lady Sif and the Warriors Three, have already been introduced and become fan-favorite characters for MCU viewers. Given that Marvel Studios seems to like shaking things up, it seems likely that some of Thor’s lesser-known acquaintances will end up on the big screen soon enough.
