The Star Wars universe is known for being vast and having many layers of complexities. Fans can simply enjoy the films or go even further with additional novels, games and comic books. Many characters within the Star Wars universe have their own comic book run, including Darth Vader, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Now, Darth Maul will be getting his own comic series.

Darth Maul has become a fan favorite from the Star Wars universe, despite being killed off in The Phantom Menace. Maul has come back to life through the animated series The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels but now his origin story will be told within the comic series.

The series will be written by Cullen Bunn (Uncanny X-Men, The Sixth Gun) with art by Luke Ross.

The project will be titled Star Wars: Darth Maul and will be a five-issue miniseries. The series will be released by Marvel Comics.

This story is developing.
