A few weeks ago, Tron: Legacy star Olivia Wilde expressed interest in playing Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, adding herself to ever-growing list of actresses that would like to portray the superheroine in the upcoming Phase 3 film. Kevin Feige himself recently revealed that we won’t find out who will play the character until 2016 at the earliest, but hasn’t stopped fans from fan-casting some of their favorite actresses in the role.

Wilde appeared alongside Supergirl star Melissa Benoist and another fan-favorite for the role, Saoirse Ronan, on James Corden’s The Late Late Show a couple of days ago, where she was asked if she has received a phone call from the studio following the wave of rumors that have been making the rounds about her playing the character, to which the actress responded with “No.” multiple times, but she’s still excited that fans have responded so well with her recent comments.

Here’s what the actress told Corden:

It’s amazing. That’s the thing about the interweb isn’t it? People can come up with ideas and suggest them and then it becomes a snowball, I was thrilled. I think that would be amazing but I had nothing to do with it.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
