Patrick Stewart Confirmed To Appear In Wolverine 3

Over the past few months we’ve seen plenty of rumors about Patrick Stewart possibly returning as Professor X in the next Wolverine standalone film, and today while speaking with Collider, the 75 year-old actor confirmed that he will indeed return as Charles Xavier in the James Mangold-helmed threequel.

I think what you say is true. There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me.

The actor also jokingly addressed the recent rumors about the the film adapting Mark Millar’s Old Man Logan storyline.

And the idea of an old Wolverine – I’m really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I’m hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he’ll make me look better if that’s the case.
