Peggy Carter Could Be In The Next Two ‘Avengers’ Movies

Peggy-Carter-AvengersWhile Peggy Carter passed away in her sleep in Captain America: Civil War (as she lived an incredibly long life of 95 years), some evidence has arrived suggesting that – in one way or another – Hayley Atwell will return to the role for either Avengers: Infinity War, its untitled sequel, or possibly both.

While a bit of evidence of Atwell’s possible return to the MCU has popped up before, there’s still no word either way that would suggest that the actress is joining the massive cast – even in a cameo role. However, a recent photo taken by Atwell suggests that right now, she’s at least in the place where the two Avengers projects are being filmed:

Sunny afternoon in Georgia ❤️

Georgia, of course, is where Pinewood Studios Atlanta is located, and almost all Marvel Studios films spend some time filming there. While this in no way confirms that Atwell will be appearing in either Avengers sequel, it does present an interesting possibility. We’ll likely find out in the months ahead.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on May 4, 2018, and has a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautisa, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Rudd, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Hiroyuki Sanada, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Benicio Del Toro, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, and Josh Brolin. Here’s the official synopsis:

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

The currently-untitled Avengers 4 features a cast made up of many of the key players in Infinity War alongside newcomers like Brie Larson and Evangeline Lilly and is scheduled to hit theaters May 3, 2019.
