Following the announcement of the 2018 follow-up to this summer’s “big hit” Ant-Man, THR is reporting that director Peyton Reed, who took over the first film after Edgar Wright’s departure, is currently in talks with Marvel Studios to return and helm the sequel. Currently there are no details known about the film other than it will obviously focus on a team-up between Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly’s The Wasp. The first film received quite a bit of negative press early on after the departure of Wright but went on to be both a hit critically and commercially. Personally? I’m super excited to see Reed return and helm the follow-up and it’s going to be interesting seeing who they get to write. Maybe they can get Adam McKay to come back as well? Let us know what you think about Reed returning for the sequel in the comments below.

Ant-Man & The Wasp is currently set to hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
