Page 1-Possible ‘Aquaman’ Synopsis Revealed

One of the upcoming movies in the DC Extended Universe is James Wan’s Aquaman as we follow the story of Arthur Curry, the King of the Seven Seas, starring Jason Momoa. While the film is still a few months away from starting filming, we may now possibly have a potential logline for the film. Acting Auditions is reporting that casting is currently happening for extras and in their report they revealed this synopsis for the film.

“Aquaman” will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.

Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Jason Momoa will play Aquaman. Also starring is Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Hollywood Film Awards winner Amber Heard as Mera, two-time Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, New Zealand Film and TV Awards winner Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.”

The film is set to start production on Monday, May 22 under the working title “Ahab”. Momoa made his debut in the DC Extended Universe last year as the iconic Justice League member in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

James Wan’s Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa as the title character, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and Patrick Wilson as Orm a.k.a. Ocean Master and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, with Nicole Kidman and Temuera Morrison possibly joining the film as Arthur’s parents, is set to come out in theaters on October 5, 2018. The screenplay comes from Will Beall, with story by Wan and DC Films co-head Geoff Johns.

Momoa, Heard and Dafoe will also be seen in Zack Snyder’s Justice League film,starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as  Barry Allen/The Flash, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielson as Queen Hippolyta and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, which opens in theaters on Friday, November 17.
