New ‘Avengers 4’ Art Speculates ‘Vengeance’ As The Film’s Title

Avengers Infinity War ThanosMarvel has yet to release the title for the fourth installment of Avengers 4, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating over the highly-anticipated film’s title.

Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Studios president, recently stated in an interview with CinemaBlend that the title for Avengers 4 is a spoiler itself, which is why they’ve made the decision to postpone its release until the film’s premiere date looms closer. In the meantime, Marvel fans have been doing some assembling of their own and are discussing what they think will make a great title for Avengers 4, and one fan, bosslogic, went so far as to create a poster for their vision.

Posted on IGN’s Instagram, a fan made poster has surfaced depicting a potential title for Avengers 4, called, Avengers: Vengeance. Against an ominous black backdrop, the word Vengeance dominates in the center of the poster in silver and red, while the remaining fragments of the word ‘Avengers’ appear to be disintegrating, similarly to the moment in Infinity War when certain characters dissolve to dust after Thano’s rapture-esque snap.

While many fans have guessed that the title of Avengers 4 could be named after past comic book issues such as 1991’s Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Endgame, bosslogic seems to be envisioning a new path for Avengers 4 that exists outside of the scope of the comics, and its focused on a very obvious emotion all of the remaining heroes are feeling towards Thanos after he wiped fifty percent of the population from existence: vengeance.

Although, what would this mean for the plot of ‘Avengers 4’ with a title as simple as ‘Vengeance’? Many fans are still clinging to the hope that some of the deaths in Avengers: Infinity War will be reversed in the fourth Avengers installment, and the title ‘Vengeance’ doesn’t suggest this.

Infinity War is now playing in theaters and its anticipated sequel will debut in May 2019.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The 5 Best (And 5 Worst) Characters In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Previous1 of 11

Avengers Infinity War MarvelAfter ten years worth of stories,  Avengers: Infinity War is finally here. The 19th entry in the sprawling Marvel saga, things couldn’t be any more different here than they were in the universe’s birthplace: Iron Man. While that movie established a world that superheroes like Captain America and Thor would later join, Iron Man himself was the only superhero in that first movie. Even Colonel Rhodes, originally played by Terrence Howard instead of Don Cheadle, didn’t don his War Machine armor until the next movie, after the Hulk and Abomination had been added to the mix.

While the action and visuals are enjoyable, what truly makes Avengers: Infinity War such an impressive movie are all the characters. Over the last ten years, Kevin Feige and his team over at Marvel Studios have slowly and methodically built out this universe to include a wide roster of heroes and villains. Now, after all the characters have been properly introduced, the world’s mightiest heroes must come together to fight a foe who’s been waiting for them since the end of The Avengers. Unfortunately, not all heroes are created equal and some of these characters came across as disappointing or boring in Infinity War. The movie may have shattered box office records, but that doens’t mean all of the characters come across well at the end of it all.
