As with many reboots of beloved franchises, the latest Power Rangers film heavily redesigned the costumes of the titular heroes, resulting in a more alien and organic design to the outfits. Now conceptual artist Mauricio Ruiz has shared several illustrations of his early Red Ranger costume designs.
Posted to his ArtStation account, Ruiz commented on his intent with the designs.
This was a couple passes of the Red Ranger Suit. The goal was aiming for an organic motorcycle racing suit type of thickness and weight to the forms.
