Preacher fans rejoice! There is finally a little something to look at in preparation for next season. First, it’s important to announce that Preacher Season 2 is set to start on Monday, June 19, at 9 p.m. ET. This season is gladly 13 episodes as opposed to the 10 released in Season 1.
Along with the reveal of the premiere date, a batch of new images from the second season were released showcasing one particular scene with Jesse, Tuplip and Cassidy along with some antagonistic state troopers. Oh, and the Saint of Killers is shown with a bloody piece of meat in his hand too! You can check out the photos at the bottom of this page.
I only watched a couple episodes of Season 1 before jumping off, but the series definitely showed promise. Apparently other people liked it too since it was the #2 New Drama Series of 2016. As a refresher here is the series synopsis:
Preacher follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), who is inhabited by the renegade spawn of an angel and demon and gains the power to control people with just a word. The series’ second season returns this summer and follows Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God, dealing with issues both worldly and other-worldly along the way.
Just yesterday, Preacher announced the addition of Noah Taylor, Pip Torrensand and Julie Ann Emery as series regulars, while Malcolm Barrett, Ronald Guttman and Justin Prentice will serve as recurring characters.
