Shane Black’s Predator movie has found its cinematographer. Slashfilm has revealed that Larry Fong has signed on to lens the movie, which will begin shooting in February.
Fong is best known for his work on most of Zack Snyder’s movies, including 300, Watchmen and Man of Steel. His most recent projects are Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and next year’s Kong: Skull Island, which received a brand new trailer last week (you can check that out here to get an idea of his work).
Details about The Predator are scarce at the moment, but we know that Boyd Holbrook (Narcos, Logan) is playing the lead character, who is described as some sort of Special Forces commando. He’ll be joined by Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse, The Newsroom), who will be playing a scientist.
The project will be sequel to the 1987 John McTiernan-directed film and set in present day. There’s been no official word on whether or not Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as Dutch, but the actor has mentioned that he was planning to have lunch with Black to discuss the possibility of returning.
