The road to Alien: Covenant has been a long one and now more casting news has been announced. Noomi Rapace’s Elizabeth Shaw will be in the sequel after all.
Let’s recap what happened leading up to this announcement. Ridley Scott’s Prometheus sequel was offically confirmed. When the announcement was released, it was made clear that both Noomi Rapace’s Elizabeth Shaw and Michael Fassbender‘s David would be returning but shorlty after that news broke, it was announced that Shaw’s character had been writing out of the script and would not be returning.
It has been reported that Rapace is off to Australia to film scenes for the upcoming Covenant. It appears that her role in the film wouldn’t be large but it might provide some answers to her fate from the first film.
Covenant also stars Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride and Demian Bichir.
“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Alien: Covenant opens in theaters on October 6, 2017. Are you excited for Rapace to return?
