The Defenders has been all over the news this week as the show has officially kicked off production in New York. Today it was announced that three other Marvel Netflix characters are set to be appearing in the upcoming Marvel series featuring the four leading Netflix heroes. Jessica Jones’ Rachel Taylor will be reprising the role of Trish Walker along with Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Daredevil’s Scott Glenn as Stick. They join previously announced Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Carrie-Ann Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville as Malcolm, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.
“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
Marvel and Netflix’s The Defenders, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Sigourney Weaver as the mysterious big bad of the series, is set to be released sometime in 2017, only on Netflix.
