Lucasfilm just dropped some huge news, revealing the next chapter in the Skywalker saga has officially been titled as Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it turns out the title has actually surfaced before. About a year ago, Reddit user Trumundo actually came up with it themselves.
Any suggestions/ideas?
Edit: After reading all these brilliant titles I’ve come up with a few of my own: The Last Jedi (plural) and Prophecy of the Sith or The Sith Prophecy. I’m liking the sounds of Shadows of the First Order, props to user RokutenVerzwei
This isn’t the first time a title for a Star Wars film has been found on the internet before it’s been officially branded by Lucasfilm as a Saga title. Star Wars fans may remember the title The Force Awakens was originally used for a fan film trailer that was uploaded to YouTube back in 2006 by Dan Lalonde.
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran, and Andy Serkis. Written and directed by Rian Johnson.
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15, 2017.
