‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ Teaser and Trailer Date

Screen Gems has just released a short teaser for the sixth and final installment in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Alice right where we left off at the end of Resident Evil: Retribution. The teaser comes from Alice herself who tweeted out the clip as well as the date for the full trailer’s release.

The teaser features Alice asserting she’s “going to kill every last one of them” followed by some gratuitous motorcycle action paired with explosions. Mills Jovovich shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “It’s almost like an origin story because we’re revealing the truth as to who Alice is,” he says, adding that fans can expect a full-circle return to Raccoon City and the Hive, where it all began. Once that circle is complete? Then it truly is game over.”

In a previous tweet the actress also stated that a Facebook live chat is scheduled to happen on the day the trailer is released.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter releases in theaters January 27,2017

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.
