Blake Lively Spy Thriller ‘Rhythm Section’ Locks February 2019 Release Date

Blake Lively Jude Law Rhythm SectionParamount Pictures has slated Rhythm Section starring Blake Lively and Jude Law to hit theaters on February 22, 2019.

Rhythm Section is the first of Mark Burnell’s British novel series Stephanie Patrick. Lively stars as the titular heroine, who becomes an assassin in an effort to avenge the death of her parents after she discovers that the airplane crash they died in — a flight that she was meant to be on — was no accident at all, sending her down a path of self-destruction as seeks out the ones responsible for the crash. Rhythm Section is followed by three more novels in the series including GeminiThe Third Woman, and Chameleon.

Emmy winning director Reed Morano (The Handmaiden’s Tale) is set to helm the film with IM Global co-founder Stuart Ford serving as executive producer alongside Greg Shapiro and Burnell. Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will produce the project though Eon Productions. The project is targeting a fall start date for principal photography and will likely film in the U.S., the U.K., Ireland, Spain, and Switzerland.
