Rip Hunter Will Return In ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 3

Legends Of Tomorrow Rip HunterDespite the events of the season two finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, it appears that Arthur Darvill will be back as Rip Hunter for the third season. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, show-runner Marc Guggenheim revealed that Darvill, who has been on the show since the beginning, will be back in a different capacity for Season 3.

“We’ve got plans for Rip for next year. It’s just in a different capacity than him being a member of the team.”

The finale ended with Rip asking the Waverider’s Captain, Sara Lance a.k.a. White Canary, for permission to leave the ship as he believed that the team can operate without him. It remains to be seen whether or not Darvill will be back as a series regular or as a guest recurring character, but either way, you haven’t seen the last of Rip Hunter.

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 3 will premiere sometime this fall on The CW – more information about the premiere date and timeslot will be revealed at the CW Upfront next month. Make sure to check back at Heroic Hollywood after every single episode of Season 3 for our weekly reviews.
