New ‘Riverdale’ Season 2 Trailer Reunites The Characters

Riverdale Season 2 New PhotoThe CW has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming season premiere of Riverdale. 

The new trailer, titled “Back Again” features quick shots of our four main characters: Archie, Jughead, Veronica and Betty. The trailer ends with the four of them together sharing a group hug.

The first season finale of Riverdale concluded with Archie’s father being shot in what was later revealed to be a direct attempt on Fred’s life rather than a random criminal act. The new images from the season two premiere offer viewers a glimpse of the immediate aftermath of the shooting and include series regulars KJ Apa As Archie Andrew, Luke Parry as Fred Andrews, Cole Sprouse as Forsythe “Jughead” Jones III, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, and newcomer Mark Consuelos as Hiram Lodge.

THE ANGEL OF DEATH — As Fred’s (Luke Perry) life hangs in the balance following the shooting at Pop’s diner, Archie (KJ Apa) struggles with the emotional aftermath of what he witnessed. Meanwhile, as Veronica (Camila Mendes) steps out of her comfort zone to support Archie, she learns that her father Hiram (Mark Consuelos) has arrived to Riverdale earlier than expected. Elsewhere, at Pop’s diner, Pop Tate (guest star Alvin Sanders) recounts the chilling details of the shooting, which leaves Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) questioning the gunman’s true motives. Lastly, after running into Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) at the hospital, Betty and Kevin (Casey Cott) are surprised to learn about the fire at Thornhill. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

New Comic Book Shows That Are Coming In 2017-2018

Comic Book TVThe current TV season is pretty much done as several comic book and superhero TV shows have concluded their respective seasons. All the comic book shows that aired this year will be back for the new TV season with The CW’s The Flash, Supergirl, Riverdale, iZombie, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, with ABC bringing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. back for another season and FOX giving Gotham and Lucifer another go.

FX is also bringing back their new comic book TV hit series with Legion while AMC is bringing back The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead for new seasons, along with their new Vertigo hit Preacher. While the comic book TV landscape is already epic in scope, it’s only going to get bigger next year. The 2017-2018 television season is going to be one of the biggest seasons of all time for comic book adaptations for both DC and Marvel.
