Robbie Amell Is Back On The Set Of ‘The Flash’

Robbie Amell Back On The Flash SetA few weeks ago, we heard that Robbie Amell would be returning to The Flash as Ronnie Raymond, the former half of Firestorm and Caitlin Snow’s (Danielle Panabaker) husband. Now it seems that Amell has officially made his way back on set, posting a tweet today showing himself with Panabaker.

During the season two premiere, Ronnie sacrificed himself to close a singularity threatening all of Central City, and that was the last we’d seen of Earth-1 Ronnie, until now it seems.

Of course, Amell returned to the series for a quick stint as Deathstorm, Raymond’s evil Earth-2 doppelganger who also met an untimely demise.

We still don’t know exactly how Ronnie is going to make his way back to life and the tweet doesn’t offer any insight; however, there’s the distinct possibility that Ronnie’s return will be due to Flashpoint or perhaps even Savitar. With Amell already back on set, we may not have to wait too terribly long to find out.

Next week, however, Team Flash will have to contend with the arrival of Gypsy and her mission to bring H.R. back to Earth-19.

“Dead or Alive” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

DC COMICS’ GYPSY ARRIVES ON EARTH-1 – H.R.’s (Tom Cavanagh) past catches up with him when a bounty hunter with vibe powers named Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) arrives in Central City to bring him back to Earth-19 to stand trial for his crime. It turns out inter-dimensional travel is illegal on their Earth. H.R. surrenders but when Barry (Grant Gustin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) find out that H.R.’s only hope would be to challenge Gypsy to a fight to the death, they intercede and Cisco offers to fight Gypsy instead. Harry Jierjian directed the episode with story by Benjamin Raab and Deric A. Hughes and teleplay by Zack Stentz (#311). Original airdate 1/31/2017.”

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on The CW. You can read our review of this week’s mid-season premiere, “Borrowing Problems From The Future,” here.
