Robbie Amell Set To Return To ‘The Flash’ As Ronnie Raymond

When The Flash started back in 2014, one of the many DC Comics characters that they introduced was Firestorm, a combined hero through Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber). However, one of them supposedly sacrificed themselves during the season two premiere to close the singularity and that man was Ronnie while Stein survived. That was at least the case for Earth-1 Ronnie as we did also meet his Earth-2 version last year. However in that universe, he was the villainous Deathstorm who ended up dying at the hands of Zoom (Teddy Sears).

But it seems that Ronnie is coming back in one way or another as Entertainment Weekly broke the news today that Amell is set to return for an upcoming episode in Season 3B. Unfortunately though, no details were given on which Ronnie we are getting or how he is returning. Could it be through time travel? Is it a different Ronnie from the Multiverse? Did Flashpoint have something to do with this?

“Borrowing Problems from the Future” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

BARRY FIGHTS FOR IRIS — Barry (Grant Gustin) is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job. Millicent Shelton directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & David Kob (#310). Original airdate 1/24/2017.”
