An awesome new concept design imagines The King stars Robert Pattinson and Timothee Chalamet as the next Batman and Robin.
One of the most exciting casting choices to come out of Hollywood in the past year was Robert Pattinson being chosen to take on the role of Bruce Wayne for the upcoming Matt Reeves directed-The Batman. Since Pattinson became the leading man of the movie, it has slowly filled out its cast with indie heavyweights Paul Dano and John Turturro as well as blockbuster draws like Zoë Kravitz and Colin Farrell. With the project seemingly fully cast and already rolling cameras, fans can’t help but to wonder if we’ll be seeing Batman’s sidekick Robin in the the highly-anticipated DC Comics movie. While there are many suitable actors for the role, it’d be unfair to say that the most requested actor by fans isn’t Timothee Chalamet.
Timothee Chalamet has been the number one choice to play Robin on the internet should The Batman director Matt Reeves ever require the character. At the time being, the young actor hasn’t been recruited for the Robert Pattinson film. However, we do have a great piece of artwork done by digital artist “AwedopeArt” that shows off what Pattinson and Chalamet could look like as Batman and Robin, respectively. You can check it out below.

What’s brilliant about this fan edit is that it really takes Robert Pattinson’s Batman suit into consideration when it came to designing Timothee Chalamet Robin costume. The two look great together, even if this is just a concept design. Pattinson and Chalamet both (mostly) hail from the indie world so it’d be great to see them together in The Batman, which is said to be a vastly different Batman story than previous on-screen takes on the Dark Knight. At the moment, Chalamet hasn’t been cast as Robin, which makes sense considering The Batman is set to focus on the early years of the titular hero. However, the Matt Reeves project is intended to set up a whole trilogy, which could easily accommodate the role of Robin in a sequel.
Do you think Timothee Chalamet would make a good Robin? Are you excited to see Robert Pattinson in The Batman? Let us know in the comments section below!
Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Following the Caped Crusader during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector, The Batman will make use of the hero’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous live-action adaptations. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Robert Pattinson, Timothee Chalamet and the DC Films project, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel!
