Robert Pattinson Gets White Eyed Batman Suit To Replace Ben Affleck In Incredible New Image

A stunning new piece of fan art shows Robert Pattinson as Batman with a white-eyed cowl as he replaces Ben Affleck in the DC Extended Universe.

Earlier this year, Ben Affleck confirmed his retirement from the role of Batman. A few months later, Robert Pattinson was cast as the new live-action Bruce Wayne for The Batman, the upcoming DC Comics movie from Matt Reeves. While an early rumor suggested Robert Pattinson would play a younger version of Ben Affleck’s Batman, it has since been confirmed that director Matt Reeves’ take on the character will not be connected to the Bruce Wayne seen in Batman v Superman and Justice League.

With production on The Batman still months away from beginning, fans have yet to see an official photo of Robert Pattinson in costume as Batman. To compensate, fans have made their own artwork imagining what Robert Pattinson could look like as Ben Affleck’s Batman successor and the latest from Instagram user “multiperplex” features the Twilight alum in a white-eyed cowl similar to headgear seen in the comics.

See Robert Pattinson don a white-eyed Batman cowl to replace Ben Affleck in the artwork below.

We know that The Batman will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. Director Matt Reeves has also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new movie trilogy with Robert Pattinson.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. The list includes The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.

The Batman is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
