Next up within the Star Wars universe is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Rogue One is the first film to take place outside of the Skywalker timeline but it seems that fan anticipation is only rising. Early today, presale tickets went on sale and Fandango crashed due to overwhelming traffic.
Tickets went on sale at 12:01 a.m. and Fandango was forced to create a waiting room for fans who wanted to buy tickets. Along with Fandango, Movietickets.com and Atom Tickets ran slower due to overwhelming traffic.

While Rogue One isn’t expected to do Force Awakens numbers, it’s on track to be one of the biggest openings in December. Estimates have Rogue One making $140 – 150 million opening weekend.
Rogue One arrives in theaters on December 16th and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Jonathan Aris.
