Rosario Dawson Joins The Cast Of ‘LEGO Batman’ As Batgirl

It has been revealed today that the upcoming LEGO Batman movie will feature yet another member of the Bat-Family, as Daredevil star Rosario Dawson has signed on to provide the voice of Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl in the animated feature.

Dawson joins a cast that so far includes Will Arnett, who is reprising his role as the Caped Crusader, Michael Cera who will be voicing Robin and Zach Galifianakis who is set to voice The Joker. The movie will be directed by The Lego Movie animation supevisor Chris McKay, from a script by author Seth Grahame-Smith, who is rumored to be writing and directing The Flash for Warner Bros.

Fans should recognize Dawson from Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil, where she played Claire Temple. She will reprise her role as the character in this year’s Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, which is currently filming. Dawson is no stranger to voicing DC characters, as she provided the voice for Wonder Woman in Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.

The Lego Batman Movie opens in theaters on February 10, 2017.
