The other day, Bleeding Cool were reporting a couple of DC TV related rumors about Constantine joining DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (which starts on January 21) for season 2 as well as Supergirl having a crossover with The Flash in May 2016. Now they have a few new updates regarding those stories. Just like with the original stories, take this following information with a big grain of salt.
According to Bleeding Cool, it appears that Matt Ryan may not join DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular for season two after all. Apparently the show is really expensive to produce and supposedly, The CW isn’t sure whether they want to give it a second season or replace it with a new DC show instead. Once again, the show hasn’t even premiered yet on the network
Then there is the situation with Supergirl possibly getting a visit from The Flash in May. As you know, the new CBS series has yet to receive the back-order 9 and originally, Bleeding Cool stated that if it gets those extra episodes, Flash could be stopping by in those final episodes in May. Now they are reporting that “it may be a requirement to do a crossover”, should Supergirl get those 9 episodes ordered by the network.
In addition, the crossover would possibly be using some inspiration from a Supergirl storyline that is about New Krypton where 100 000 Kryptonians, who had been trapped in the Bottle City of Kandor, come to Earth after Brainac releases them. They do bring up the fact that it may be a scaled down version of that storyline as it would cost a lot to do that on a television budget. Once again, take all of this with a grain of salt as none of this has been confirmed by the networks or studios.
You can catch Supergirl on Monday nights at 8/7c on CBS, The Flash on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on The CW, with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow set to premiere on Thursday nights at 8/7c starting on January 21, on The CW.
