RUMOR: Spider-Man and Oscorp To Be Referenced In Ant-Man
Marvel’s untitled Spider-Man reboot is still a long way off but it seems that Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man will be planting the first seeds for the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler before his debut in next year’s epic, Captain America: Civil War.
Ever since director Peyton Reed stepped in for Edgar Wright, Ant-Mans screenplay has been the subject of numerous rewrites by the likes Adam McKay, Paul Rudd, Gabriel Ferrari, and Andrew Barrer. Apparently one of the additions to the script are Spider-Man Easter-eggs, since the character already exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe according to Marvels Head Honcho, Kevin Feige.
Latino Review is reporting that, “We’ve heard an unconfirmed rumor there is “lots of” talk of/references to Spider-Man and OsCorp in the current version of Ant-Man.” They also mention that Corey Stoll’s villainous businessman Darren Cross will be attempting to sell the Ant-Man/Yellowjacket weapons technology to numerous corporations. Maybe Norman Osborn will be one of the potential buyers? We’ll have to wait and see until Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17.
