We reported yesterday on how the Marvel Cinematic Universe will handle their Spider-Man. A lot of rumored details have floated around on what Black Panther is up to during Captain America: Civil War. Plus we know that the Vision will factor in somehow as well.
Well, today, we have word from ComicBook.com who spoke with Joe and Anthony Russo on these character’s arcs throughout the film.
Joe Russo says:
Anthony Russo added:
Joe Russo replied:
While these comments are light on details regarding what exactly these characters are up to and how they factor into Civil War, the Russo brothers hint that each of them play a specific part, complete with character development. We only got the Vision very briefly, albeit memorably, toward the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Of course this is also the MCU debut for Spider-Man and Black Panther. It is great to know that the Russo’s are handling these characters and have plans for their development.
I said it before, but I am saying it again, I am really glad the Russo brothers are handling the franchise and over-arching story-lines of the MCU, of course in conjunction with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. They know these characters, love them, and proved their abilities to tell a compelling story in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If that was any indication on what’s to come – hang on folks, we are all in for quite the ride!
What do you think about the Russo’s comments? Let us know!
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6th, 2016, and I can’t wait!
