Ryan Reynolds Can’t Wait To Unleash ‘Deadpool’

We’re only a few weeks away from the release of Deadpool, the first superhero movie of 2016. However, it’s not the first time that the character has appeared on the big screen, since he also made an appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. That take on the character wasn’t received too well by both critics and fans, but judging by everything we’ve seen so far from Tim Miller’s Deadpool, it looks like we’re finally getting a faithful adaptation of the source material.

In the latest issue of Total Film (via Games Radar), Ryan Reynolds, who portrays the titular character, promised that this incarnation of the character is going make fans very happy. Here’s what he had to say:

There’s something very proprietal and very personal about it for me, I know what I can put on screen, and I know what I’ve put on screen is something that would make any fanboy proud. All anyone cares about in this process is making Deadpool work as much for the fanboys as it does for the uninitiated, I can’t wait to unleash it. We’re so, so psyched. You’re definitely going to be happy, that much I can promise…

Well, they’re certainly off to a great start, since they haven’t sewn his mouth shut this time around. Personally, I can’t wait for the movie to come out. What about you guys? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section.

Deadpool opens in theaters on February 12, 2016.
