First ‘The Chilling Tales of Sabrina’ Concept Illustration Revealed

Production on The Chilling Tales of Sabrina is reportedly set to begin in early 2018 and now the first concept illustration for the series has been unveiled.

Executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced that the first concept art for the developing series is coming in and shared a sample of the artwork on his official Twitter account. The image offers viewers their first taste of what they might expect to see from the Riverdale companion series.

You can check out the illustration in the post below!

Based on the Archie Comics series by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Sabrina is a dark coming-of-age tale centered on Sabrina Spellman as she has to balance a life studying the occult with the trials and tribulations that come with being a teenager. Initially intended to air on The CW with its companion series Riverdale, Warner Brothers ultimately decided to move the show to Netflix believing it would be a better option to avoid directly competing with the planned reboot of Charmed.

The pilot will be written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and directed by Lee Toland Krieger with the series being co-produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The show will be executive produced by Aguirre-Sacasa, Krieger, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is currently in development and is expected to be released in either 2018 or 2019.
