10 Secrets Behind Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Series

10. Hugh Jackman Almost Had A Cameo In Spider-Man

Logan Hugh Jackman

When production on Spider-Man started, X-Men had already taken the box office by storm. Even though the films were being produced by different studios, there wasn’t a fierce competition that kept all the franchises separate like there is today. While Spider-Man might be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe now, for most of his cinematic history he has lived in his own, isolated world.

All that could have changed in 2002 if things went according to plan though. Even though it’s still unclear if he would have a speaking role or just walk across the screen, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine was supposed to appear in the movie. The problem was that when Hugh Jackman was in New York and could shoot the cameo, his Wolverine suit was somewhere else, so things didn’t line up quite in time.
