It seems that not only fans have a favorite Avenger. In a recent interview, Samuel L. Jackson, who is famous for portraying Nick Fury among many other popular characters, shared who his favorite Avengers member is.
While playing “Fishing For Answers” with The Hollywood Reporter, Samuel L. Jackson shared some information many would have probably not guessed if they tried. While taking questions out of a fishing bowl, the last question for Samuel L. Jackson was “Who is your favorite Avenger and why?” Here’s what he had to say:
“Nick Fury, cause he’s me”
He chuckled as he responded in the coolest way possible, but had something more to add to his answer. Here’s his true answer to the question:
“Actually it’s Black Widow.”
Out of the Avengers cast Samuel L Jackson has decided that Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow is indeed his member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but did not give a full explanation as to why. Perhaps it could be that Black Widow is simply a really great Avenger. With no super powers, Black Widow uses her strength and wit to fight the battles that may come to Earth.
Since her introduction in Iron Man 2, Black Widow has demonstrated that she is a very capable member of the Avengers who does not a suit or super abilities to help take down those who get in her way. One battle in particular that showed this was with Thanos in the final moments of Avengers: Infinity War. There seems to be no stopping for Black Widow as she is soon set to star in her own movie and has gained her place as Samuel L. Jackson’s favorite Avenger.
What do you think of Samuel L. Jackson’s pick? Who’s your favorite member of the Avengers? Let us know in the comments below!
