Scott Eastwood dons the Fleischer Superman suit to replace Henry Cavill as the DC Extended Universe’s Man of Steel in a new concept design.
Henry Cavill hasn’t played Superman since 2017, which saw the release of Justice League. Despite being adamant that the role is still his, it’s uncertain if Warner Bros. has any plans for Henry Cavill’s Superman in the DCEU. Since fans are uncertain that Henry Cavill is returning to the iconic role of Superman, some artists have been imagining who could replace the British actor.
One of the few names that have been thrown out by fans and artists alike is Scott Eastwood, son of the legendary Clint Eastwood. Scott Eastwood exudes the charisma and confidence that would be required to take on the role of Superman on the big screen. In the muscles department, Scott Eastwood also carries the strength needed to bring foes like Lex Luthor and Zod to justice.
An impressive concept by digital artist Dalton Barrett on Instagram imagines Scott Eastwood taking over the role of Superman from Henry Cavill, who made his debut as the character in 2013 with Man of Steel. In the artwork, Scott Eastwood can be seen with the classic Fleischer Superman suit. You can check out the edit of Scott Eastwood as Henry Cavill’s Superman replacement below.
The concept designs gracefully depicts Scott Eastwood in the classic Superman costume, which makes us think the actor would be perfect for the role if Henry Cavill bows out. One of the sweetest touches in this artwork is the curl in Scott Eastwood’s hair as Superman. Henry Cavill’s Superman was the perfect iteration for our modern time, with his character being a commentary on xenophobia. However, many fans yearned for the Superman of yesteryear who exuded positivity and hope, something that Henry Cavill’s Superman didn’t bring to the table. If this fan art is anything to go by, Scott Eastwood would be able to fill in that hole in the heart of Superman fans.

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
