ScreenJunkies Releases ‘Moana’ Honest Trailer On YouTube

moana honest trailerThe folks behind ScreenJunkies have done it again by releasing an Honest Trailer for the film Moana. The trailer pokes fun at the hypocritical stance that the film takes of trying to redefine the Disney princess films while basically doing all of the same things. You can check out the video below:

Another big criticism the ScreenJunkies have is the lack of singing ability The Rock has, despite being able to do almost anything else. While I felt The Rock’s song was fine, I can understand where they’re coming from. Impressively, they bring in Tokelauan translators to make their own version of the Tokelauan song that appears in the film. The trailer doesn’t entirely criticise however, as they seem to truly have enjoyed the film– even if How Far I Go may be a Let it Go clone.

The epic journey continues for “Moana” fans as Walt Disney Animation Studios introduces an all-new sing-along version of the hit, critically-lauded comedy-adventure “Moana.” From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui, and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds.

This Honest Trailer scores a Haole for effort – Disney’s Moana! You’re Welcome! Apologies to Lin Manuel Miranda and The Rock.
