Production began earlier this week in Atlanta on Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, and in the past few weeks, we’ve been getting confirmation after confirmation on the numerous actors that will be reprising their famous Marvel superhero roles to appear in the film, Marvel’s biggest to date. Well, here’s one more actor to add to the list.
Sean Gunn, brother of Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, has shared an Instagram post to let us all know that he has started work on the Russo Brothers-helmed project. Of course, he does so in his own tongue-in-cheek kinda way. Also, it appears as if the actor’s hat gives us our first look at a brand new Infinity War logo.
You can check out the actor’s post below:
As most of you may know already, Gunn not only plays the Ravager Kraglin in the Guardians films, but has also served as the on-set motion-capture performer for Rocket Raccoon for the first two movies (with Bradley Cooper coming in later to provide the voice during post-production). Presumably, this is the role that Gunn will serve in Avengers: Infinity War, but who knows, maybe Kraglin could appear too.
Seeing as how pretty much all of the other Guardians have been confirmed already (Starlord, Drax, Gamora, Nebula, Groot, and possibly even Mantis and Michael Rooker’s Yondu), it’s not really that much of a surprise that Rocket will be appearing as well, though it does indicate that nothing bad will happen to everyone’s favorite raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. So, that’s good news.
Sean Gunn can next be seen later this year in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which hits theaters on May 5, 2017. Avengers: Infinity War is slated for a May 4, 2018 release.
