After giving us our first look at several characters from the series, Netflix has debuted a brand new trailer for their television adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, which will arrive on the streaming service in less than two months.
The upcoming series stars Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf, as well as Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes as Violet Baudelaire and Klaus Baudelaire, respectively. The cast also features Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket, K. Todd Freeman as Mr. Poe, Joan Cusack as Justice Strauss, Catherine O’Hara as Dr. Georgina Orwell, Aasif Mandvi as Uncle Monty, Don Johnson as Sir and Alfre Woodard as Aunt Josephine.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler.
A Series of Unfortunate Events debuts on Netflix on January 13, 2017.
