Aquaman & Wonder Woman Easter Eggs Spotted In ‘Shazam!’ Trailer

Wonder Woman Aquaman ShazamEarlier today, Warner Bros. released the first official trailer for next year’s Shazam! and it is full of Easter Eggs, including one for Aquaman and Wonder Woman!

Early on in the trailer, Billy Batson, (Asher Angel)  is introduced to his new adopted brother, Freddie, (Jack Grazer), who immediately appears to be quite the superhero buff. In this introduction you can see Freddie wearing a black shirt. At first it’s a little difficult to see at first, but upon closer observation one can spot an Aquaman logo on the shirt. Later on in the trailer you can see the character wearing a Wonder Woman shirt as well. You can check out the stills below:

Other: I was rewatching the Shazam! trailer and noticed Freddy was wearing a Wonder Woman shirt from DC_Cinematic

In addition, the character also has quite the collection of superhero memorabilia. This includes a Times magazine showing General Zod’s ship from Man of Steel, the return of Superman, and a batarang replica on a dresser. Later on, Billy in his Shazam form asks Freddie for help figuring out his powers, leading to a montage of the two testing the powers out. It seems like Billy may have lucked out in who he got for an adoptive brother.

Disney star Asher Angel has been cast as the young Billy Batson, with Zachary Levi playing the titular superhero. Grace Fulton, Cooper Andrews, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Faithe Herman are also on board, with Mark Strong as the villainous Doctor Sivana, a frequent foe of Shazam who first appeared opposite the superhero in the pages of Whiz Comics back in 1940.

Directed by David F. Sandberg from a script written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke, Shazam! hits theaters on April 5, 2019. Keep an eye on Heroic Hollywood as more details on this project come out.

Previous1 of 11

Justice LeagueThe Justice League is DC’s premiere superhero team. These characters are the biggest names in the DC Comics universe. Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie introduced six members to audiences in the form of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash.

Despite the first Justice League film underperforming, there appears to be a sequel in some form of active development over at Warner Brothers. Based on the first film’s post-post scene, the team could be facing off against the Legion of Doom, so it appears the Justice League may need some extra assistance. Luckily there is a wide array of DC characters from the comics to pull from to strengthen the team’s roster.

Here are ten DC Comics heroes we would like to see in the Justice League sequel. Click Next to get started!
