‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ WonderCon 2017 – Natalia Cordova & Henry Simmons

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. WonderCon 2017 Natalia Cordova Henry Simmons

The beloved Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is officially returning this week as the series is getting closer to wrapping up its fourth season, with kicking off the third big storyline of the season known as Agents of Hydra. With almost all of our agents trapped in the world of the Framework, it’s up to Daisy Johnson and Jemma Simmons to save everyone.

Last week Heroic Hollywood participated in the press room for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at WonderCon to chat with the cast and producers about what is coming up in the remaining episodes of Season 4. We had the pleasure of chatting with Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Henry Simmons who play Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez and Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie respectively as they teased what fans can look forward to in Season 4C.

With Yo-Yo still being in the real world and watching over Simmons and Quake, what are the chances that we might see her enter the Framework at some point? When asked that question, Cordova

“What are the chances…well, I don’t know, you will have to wait and see what happens if she decides if she wants to go in. I can’t really say, so yeah! [laughs]”

The show is currently shooting its 88th episode of the series which will serve as the season four finale and when asked for a few teases of the remaining episodes as well as the finale, Simmons teased that there are culminations of aspects in the third arc of the season.

“The one thing I can say is that everyone knows that the season has been divided into three pods and I’ll say that there are culminations of things in the last pod.”

More highlights from the full roundtable interview:

-Whether or not we will get to see Mack happy for at least a little bit inside the world of the Framework.

-Getting to play different versions of their characters, like Mack being Ghost Rider temporarily and more.

-The process of getting the scripts for each of the episodes as Marvel and ABC likes to keep a lot of things under wraps.

-The chances of seeing more scenes with the whole ensemble together on screen, given how many characters there are on the show.

Lingering Questions Leading Up To ‘The Defenders’

Netflix Marvel Defenders
With the release of the first season of Iron Fist, all four Defenders have made their streaming debut to set up this summer’s mashup miniseries The Defenders. Each season has built on the last, building an intricate mythology with a living, breathing New York City to house it. The Hand has been introduced as a sort of evil S.H.I.E.L.D. to link Marvel’s Netflix dramas, building to the four uniting against them. Their separate investigations will bring them together in – what else – a hallway fight.

The culmination of the first phase of the Marvel/Netflix partnership has a lot of ‘splaining to do. What’s the Hand’s true objective? How will our four heroes interact together and how will the supporting casts of their shows intersect here? And perhaps most importantly, who is the Big Bad played by Sigourney Weaver?

We’ll talk about all that and more in the article ahead. Click Next to start!
