Sony Trolls Fans About Possible Tom Holland ‘Venom’ Appearance

Venom Spider-Man Peter Parker Tom Holland Tom HardyFans have been dissecting every frame of Venom‘s first trailer today, looking for clues about the plot of the secretive project. One mystery that still hasn’t been solved is whether the MCU’s Spider-Man, Tom Holland, will be making an appearance in the movie, something Sony appears to enjoy teasing fans about on its Twitter account.

When one fan asked about Tom Hardy and Tom Holland potentially appearing in the trailer before it dropped, Sony amusingly evaded the question, responding with a simple, “Tom.” Check out the exchange below:

Rumors have been circulating for weeks now that Tom Holland will be appearing in Venom, with the caveat that Peter Parker will be showing up but not Spider-Man. It’s likely we won’t know for certain if that’s true or not until much closer to the release of the film, if not when it premieres in theaters. Until then, Sony seems to be having fun teasing fans with the prospect of it.

Plot details on Venom are currently under wraps, though Fleischer has previously mentioned that the film will be based on the Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes comic book runs.

The film stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate, Riz Ahmed, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson.

Venom is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on October 5, 2018.

The 10 Best Episodes Of ‘Spider-Man: The Animated Series’

Spider-Man The Animated SeriesPeter Parker has had many incarnations throughout the fifty plus years of his existence but none more so than in animation. There’s the newer Ultimate Spider-Man series on Disney, the classic ’60s and ’80s Spider-Man cartoons and even the soon-to-be classic The Spectacular Spider-Man, but there is one series that will always have a place in my heart and was a major reason why this character resonates for so many people that grew up during the time it was released.

The ’90s Spider-Man series that run on Fox Kids was among my favorite cartoons growing up and even when I couldn’t get a hold of the issues they were adapting, it was the closest thing that I could get to reading the comics. How much of a presence did it have? The Spider-Man ride, which is arguably the best at Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando, was based on this series and it’s got every bit of the charm that we saw on the small screen.

These episodes are classics so let’s countdown the best ones from the ’90s Spider-Man series. Click Next to get started!
