RUMOR: LeBron James To Drop ‘Space Jam 2’ Trailer Soon

According to a new rumor, a trailer for the LeBron James helmed Space Jam 2 could be in store for fans relatively soon. The rumor states that James is ready to drop a trailer for the film, but is waiting on his movement to a new team as the team he is on is going to be featured in the trailer.

James has been slowly making his way into Hollywood with roles in movies like Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck and in the upcoming animated film Smallfoot. The basketball star also just launched a production company named SpringHill Entertainment that is developing a remake of the movie House Party.

With James serious efforts to transition into Hollywood entertainment in mind, the Basketball Society states that the athlete will be releasing a trailer or documentary of sorts that relates to Space Jam 2 as soon as he finalizes a deal with an NBA team this summer and the video will debut on the recently launched Instagram Television.

Space Jam 2 will be directed by Justin Lin who is known for his work on the Fast & Furious franchise as well as Star Trek Beyond.

Lin, Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello are joining the project which has LeBron James attached to star. Dodge and Botello will be writing the script, along with Lin. Sources close to the project explained that the script is in development at this stage.

Space Jam was a live action/animated hit back in 1996. It featured NBA star Michael Jordan and variety of Looney Tunes cartoon characters. This film was a breakout success at the box office bringing in over $230 million.

The remake will feature James most likely in a Jordan type of roll. James has been slowly getting into the acting game, appearing in Amy Schumer comedy Trainwreck.
