Every ‘Spider-Man’ Animated Series Ranked From Worst To Best

Previous1 of 9

Spider-Man AnimatedSpider-Man has had plenty of success over the years on the big screen, but younger fans tend to forget that the webhead has had a longer, arguably richer history on television. Since the 60s, we’ve seen Parker Parker in a lot of different forms, fashions, and animated styles, and that will go the same for the debut of Marvel’s Spider-Man next year, which is a planned replacement for the current run of Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man Disney XD.

Of course, not all Spider-Men are created equal, and there are some obvious highlights in this growing list of shows. As always, this is just one set of opinions by a fan who’s been obsessed with Spider-Man since the early 90s, so be sure to share your own favorites below in the comments, as always.

With that, let’s start with the worst of the bunch…

I write and I know things.

  • Fenix

    Completely agree with this ranking.

  • UnBoxingJon

I remember an episode of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends where a Native American showed up and the origin of his superpowers was “I’m Native American.”

  • theheartsleeves

Couldn’t agree more!! #1 The Spectacular Spider-Man!!! The fact that they cancelled this and EMH for the tepid reboots was a damn crime.

  • Joshua McLaughlin

“Ultimate Spider-Man: should have been either #9 or second-worst on the list; it is a terrible show that feels like some business committee’s idea of what “Spider-Man” is.

  • Scarecrow7

’67 Spider-man Season 1 is my favorite where all his classic rogues fill most episodes with good animation, but Seasons 2 and 3 are really bad, bad animation and Kingpin is the only good villain they use. They are completely different and I don’t like how they are grouped together.

  • Gavriel Pinkerton

Spider-Man TNAS is the best one in my opinion.

  • Jason Scarpelli

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends should be ranked much higher. It’s a classic that should NOT be overlooked.

  • Matias Gagliardone

I’d switch the first two and put Amazing Friends higher, other than that it’s a good list

  • Firestar was actually created for Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends. She wasn’t an X-Man at the time.

In Spider-man 67’s defense, one cool thing they did is directly adapt some early comics. It’s an ugly show, but fell within the visual standards of its time.

Firestar only became an X-Man a few years ago in fact – she was previously a New Warrior, an Avenger, and then a Young Ally.

  • Sammy Boy

Spectacular Spider-Man. I always played the game based on the fact that you have to take a picture of Spidey for the Daily Bugle, and even sometimes, you could catch Venom!
